Why We Think It's So Special...
Tucked away on a sun drenched hillside behind a line of olives trees is our deep blue pool shimmering in the sunshine. Climb out after an early morning dip and look across the hillside toward the famous pueblo blanco, the medeavel white washed village of Frigiliana where the moors made their last stand against the marauding catholics. Look east towards the Sierra Almijara mountain, which join onto the Sierra Nevadas in Granada province. Then there’s the glimmering bay of Nerja to the south east.
Sit back and turn the pages of your favourite travel novel under the parasol, what the Spanish call sombrilla, made of dry-grass like ‘esparto’. A coffee by the pool in the mornings, and a chilled glass of local wine in the evenings, this perfect tranquility is disturbed only by the tweeting birds and the gentle buzz of the cicadas.
